Jersey-PA Meet Up

Alright guys, this needed it's own thread.

As Steve mentioned, the basic idea is the guys/ladies from PA meet up somewhere on the way to Jersey, the guys/ladies from Jersey meet up somewhere on the way to PA.

Then we all meet in the middle.
The roar of a dozen or so Maserati Ghiblis rolling up at the same time

Sometime in July.

Thought?

Obviously I am in.

Maybe Saturday July 12 or Sunday July 13 for a target date based upon anyone who is interested.

In fact if those interested list the towns they are from, I'll do the math and figure out a central location all parties can meet

I'll calculate a central point within, say a 100 mile drive from our farthest driver. We can plan a nice outing, meeting and perhaps a short rally to a nice town to show off our babies

PM me and I'll get it started
Steve

I'd be up for that. Maybe someplace with a big parking lot.. and possible outdoor seating to grab some food. Otherwise whatever. If the date works, i'd be in.

Looking at the map, I see a quaint town, right in the middle of our area...nice place to visit, great roads to get there from NJ and PA which makes for a great ride to and back; great places to eat and there is also a great places to park the cars.

How about New Hope, PA?

Spend the day with the families right on the Delaware River in July. A Maserati symphony up and down Main Street... Boy, heads will turn...

I'm actually fairly close to New Hope...~25 minutes away; 10 in the Ghibli

New Hope is a great place to walk around, eat, drink, shop (some real unique stores), people watch, etc. The only problem I think may be the parking. As far as I know there's not a ton of parking close to the main drag.

On a Sat/Sun during the summer with good weather the place is packed. The good news is that the more people the better the atmosphere, but it also means tougher parking. Maybe there are better parking options there and I'm just not aware of them...but it's worth looking into. I'll see what I can find out, and if anyone else has more info on that please weigh in.

If we find parking to be too much of an issue, we could always plan to drive through New Hope (in Sport mode!!! ) and make the lunch stop somewhere else nearby.

It's about 2 hours for me from Hershey PA (following the speed limit) ... but it's about the cruise and Maserati Ghibli bonding ... so will look to make it happen if available.

Maybe we could make this place the central spot for the PA guys and New Jersey guys to meet.
T and I have been there before. It's just south on the main drag and has a big parking lot.
