Has anyone done their first service yet?

Just curious if it was done at the dealer, about how much, and was it anything more than an oil change.

Hi TKDalumni - I haven't had to have my service done yet, but when I inquired at the dealership they informed me that each service is about $800. Standard review of the car along with fluid changes including an oil change. I believe that tire alignment and check were also included. The following service I believe included the possibility of spark plug changes if necessary. While I am no expert I am sure that the Maserati service team can give you all the details before service is necessary.

I was quoted $450 for the first service by Herb Chambers (Boston area). I bought the maintenance plan after that so I guess I'll never know...

$370 FC Kerbeck NJ. Includes oil along with the standard other areas that are listed on the maintenance schedule. Oil is the only replacement item though, the rest are visual inspections.

I quoted the same things via a local indy who specializes in BMW, MB, Audi, etc. the cost was $50. I supply oil and filter, since I have 6 cases in my garage for the Maserati, I paid about $5 per qt, fikter $25. So total costs would be about $115 via the indy.

You can buy the oil on Amazon for $30 ish per case. Pennzoil ferrari approved.

well if you take the car to jiffy lube, then they will not be able to reset the light more then likely.

however if you take the car to a shop that specializes in exotics or imports than they should be able to reset the service light no problem. any shop with that has scan device such as sd1/sd2/sd3/sd4 or leonardo should be able to take care of the issue. check with your garage / mechanic first. alternatively you will have to take the car to the dealer for the reset. they may or may not charge you.

yes its part of the service.

but if you have your service done elsewhere and need the dealership to reset the light, then some dealers will charge you 1 hour labor to reset the light. it literally takes them about 15 seconds to reset the light. some dealers will reset the light free of charge if you have your car in the shop for something unrelated though. but if you take it in just for the light, then yeah, im certain they will charge you since you are taking up their time. better off just waiting until you have the car in for warranty work.

You found this on Amazon? Do you have the link to the oil as well?

Thanks for the oil filter OEM part number. Do you know the Maserati oil filter number? How about the Maserati and OEM engine oil part number. The manual says only the oil and filter need to be changed at 12,500 miles. Why would that cost $370-$800?
