Anyway to reset service reminder?

Hi guys- its almost been a year since I've had my car, and as a result I've been getting a service reminder on my home screen to bring the car in for the first service.

However I just hit 7,000 miles and the dealer said I don't need to come out yet and can wait another 2-3 months based on my low mileage.

That being said, how do you reset this reminder so I stop seeing it for the next 3 months when I get in the car?

Thanks for the help

yes you can.

since your date is up but not the mileage, you must trick the car into thinking that the 12 months is not up yet. so you must back date the calendar in the MTC. keep month and day the same but change the year back to 2014 until you go in for service.

once you back date the calendar the service light will go off..

there is no actual reset procedure without the factory scan tool.
curious dealership response. i'd think that if the 12 months was optional and only mileage was important, that there would be no 12 month 12500 miles reminder, only a 12500 reminder.

if you go on the menu on dashboard, there is a section for maintenance reminder. it does show both days and miles left until next service. doing service 1 per year isn't bad at all. I mean, why would you not want to do the service and check up after 1 year, even your mileage is low. $400-$500 for 1 year service.

Because the dealer told me not to schedule it yet since my milage was so low. I've had the car in at the dealer a bunch of times for the all the campaigns, and just had brand new 19' wheels put on. They told me to wait.

I looked yesterday for this menu, but didn't see it. Is it in the Navigation screen or the one on the drivers side screen? Thanks for the help.

The maintenance menu is under #2 menu. Click "enter" button and move all the way to the right sub menu. You should see it.

I just completed 1 year of lease and about 6600 miles. Maintenance light is on... I think it's bullshit to get it in to dealer for service right now - the months have no meaning, it's a car not a person - when ignition is off it's off, not like it's heart is beating all the time and we need to take it to the Dr every year for the annual checkup.

I'm calling their bluff and I'm gonna wait till I reach at least 10K miles or 18 months

You don't have to ever take it for service but if a problem arises Maserati doesn't have to cover it under warrantee either. Warrantee requires you meet the required maintenance schedule if you don't they no longer have to honor it. Doesn't have to be done at a dealer but you need to show you did the required items.

+1 for this. sticking it to the "man" will stick it farther into you.
