It's not a 90k car if the standard discount is 20k.

It's no different than any other car. Even though its a Maserati, its still mass produced.. About the same as a ticked out e class... Same thing happens to the e550.

Not same as a Mercedes but similar to Jaguar. Between discounts not ever seen in this class and general unhappiness with car by a very vocal group and people being able to afford to get out of car this is where we are at. Wait till all those 3 year leases are over from big first year sales!

maserati is the king of depreciation, no other auto comes close!

35% depreciation from the "Selling Price" in 1st year, no doubt, with modest mileage and in good condition. the sites like KBB and edmunds are not accurate either. try taking your car to any dealer for a trade and see what you actually get, its lower than what you think.

and like BJG said, just wait till all those leased cars re-enter the market as used cars next year. used cars will be hot, new cars will be duds. the only way they will move the new ones is to keep prices slashed.

but yes the ghibli is a $60-70k car, not 90 or 100.. that MSRP is pure BS, the car is worth what they are selling it for. stupid game of jacking up MSRP just to entice you with a fat discount and we think we got a good deal, reality is they got exactly what they wanted.. then they always have a few guys who are happy to pay MSRP as well which they gladly take and consider a bonus..

I took advantage... 11k-mile 2014 SQ4 with MSRP of $92k for $57k in August this year. Have put 7,000 miles on it in three months with no issues. It's a great buy compared with Mercedes, BMW and Audi, and gets lots of attention.

Best to buy slightly used (let the other guy take the depreciation hit) or during end of year sales.

after 3 years they will be in the low $40s with reasonably low miles coming off lease.

this is why I leased. let them take the hit on the car. if I like it I will buy a more optioned one when my lease expires...

I purchased my Quattroporte thinking it would not depreciate that much a few years ago but it seems there is no bottom on a 4 door Maserati. the 2 door cars seem to be a bit better...

GTS no better. '13 with 7900 mi. $75000! Beauty at Barrett Jackson Reno at $69k plus 10%. Plenty at asking in low $80's. These were $150k+ new but maybe with $20k off.I think I'd rather be losing on one of those than my Ghibli which will be worth $40k some thing next year.
