After Mandated Spring Replacement, Now headlights

So as I posted in my other thread about the mandated spring replacement, now my headlights are not projecting the light as they are suppose to. So guess what I'm back at the dealer again.. for a total of 3 times in the month of march and 1 time so far for the month of April. So after they did the replacement which changed the ride height significantly for my car, the headlights only project about half of what they would before the spring fix. Even the self adjustable lights do not want to self adjust to the correct level. The dealer told me that they will adjust them manually. Lets see how that goes....

Thanks...this is good to know.

I just emailed my dealer who has my car in for service now to make sure the headlights adjust correctly.

The dealer adjusted my headlights, so make sure if you getting the springs done to let them know to check the headlight alignment.

When you say mandated spring adjustment. Is it a recall or something. and for what models is it mandated?

Its not a campaign. It is being addressed case by case if your car won't go into alignment. Likely a moderate % of vehicles experience spring sag prematurely. Once corrected car is able to come back into factory specifications.

I had my front springs replaced and my dealer told me it wasn't necessary. Not sure though I haven't driven the car at night much after I got it back. No notifications on dash though

My dealer said there should be no issue with the lights as they will auto adjust with the new height since they have a leveling sensor attached to the control arm.

they don't call it a "recall" they don't like to use that word... its base on your cars vin and overall ride height as i was told by the dealer. The most noticeable factor if your springs are sagging is to look at your front and rear tires, if the inner part of the tire(the part that closer to the engine, turn the wheel all the way to one side in the front to get a better view) shows more wear than the outer part, I suggest you call your dealer.

The dealer told me that this will effect the Ghibli's and the Quattroporte's

Yes you are correct, but my adaptive headlight arm was not in the correct position as was noted in the invoice by the dealer after i told him to check them out, so they removed it are reinstalled it.

you can tell the difference after the spring replacement if your headlights need adjusting. if not working properly the headlights will only project about 3-4 feet of light in front of the car, compared to about 12-15 feet. It makes it very difficult to drive it at night time especially if there are no light poles.
