Replacing the Battery for the Key Fob

Hi all. I have a 2014 Ghibli, and apparently the battery in my key fob is dying. I found the instructions on how to replace it, and bought the right battery. My problem is which screwdriver actually fits this thing.

Has anyone had any luck actually replacing the battery? If so, could you hit me with a link to a screwdriver that will actually fit?

I really don't want to go back to the dealer to get this replaced. I've been there all too many times for numerous other issues.

Cheers,

You need a torx T5 driver.

I used the one from my iFixit toolkit ( https://www.ifixit.com/Store/Parts/6...it/IF145-299-1 )

I had a major issue with removing the screw, it looked like it was fixed with locktight, finally I had it drilled out.

I had the same issue - but I used the other key for a few months until I had my scheduled maintenance and the dealer replaced both batteries for me.

Did both my batteries a few months ago, pretty simple and straight forward process. Home Depot sells a micro screwdriver / torx set for about $10-$15 if I recall. It was a 20pc set or something like that. Small black set, about size of iPhone 6, located in tool aisle, next to drill bits, etc.
