Too bad you are so far away from me, I have the base 18's because I intended to swap out for some aftermarket but may end up picking some OEM 19's up. Shipping both ways would be killer, which also has kept me from jumping on some other people's posts about their wheels.
I agree with DD. I will not drive the car from late November thru end of February unless it is clear, and above 50 degrees. I have all seasons and like them very much as is. No need for separate winters.
Steve
Agree with DD, 18" will definitely be better in snow and depending on the winter tires you choose (Pirelli carving edge vs Sotto3 as an example). Carving edge are more aggressive and have positive reviews on this forum. Especially since you are in the New England snow belt.
Similar to Spsesq, I don't plan on driving my car in bad weather or when they have all that salt, magnesium suflate and fine ground gravel they put down for traction in December - February. But just in case temptation gets the best of me, even hiding under that blue Ghibli indoor cover, I bought the 20" sotto3's with another set of rims to have on the car.> In 20" there are limited selection, but in 18 and 19 you should be able to get a good deal on literally new "take-off" rims on ebay or other on this forum, (even with shipping).
Thanks Joe's and i think i will go with the 18 inch for Snow, and like you said no driving in bad weather and when that salt is out. But just in case if the weather is good and not much snow around.
Secondly for the 18 inch i am unable to find Carving edge. Only Sotto3 are available. I know carving edge is available for 19 but for 18 the size of the carving edge is off.
Fortunately, I left the snow years ago. Unfortunately, I can't be of any help with snow tires... >
