front brakes clicking when braking

I recently installed new 360 mm silver zinc crossed drilled rotors from Brake performance, I also installed a set of their premium pads on my 2014 SQ4 Ghibli. after getting everything buttoned up, I am hearing this horrific clicking noise coming from the front brakes, on both sides. What on earth could be causing this. Did I miss a step?

the possibilities are limitless, thus interweb diagnosis is not possible.
if there was no clicking before you did the work, then it was something you did or your parts.

is it while braking or not braking? assuming the noise speeds up when going faster...

Only when braking, I took it into the shop today, got it up on the lift. suspension looks good. The pads I installed are not OEM grade, maybe there is an issue with the pads. The noise is more of a pinging sound than a clicking.

are your wheels torqued? rotor retention screw installed? pads lubricated on top and bottom where they sit against the caliper? springs and pins installed correctly and all the way?
