Question 30K Service and Spark Plugs Interval

Fellos, this may be a silly question, but I am pretty sure that some of you have alredy been through this.
My Ghibli currently has 33k and it's due for service, the dealer is giving me a quote for $buck 1600+ which apparently includes the following.
Oil Change
Spark Plugs
Fuel Induction Cleaning
Pollen Filter
Air Filter.

My question is:
does the spark plugs needs to be replace every 30K?
does this prices sounds reasonable?

I am not a mechanic, but I have replaced my spark plugs on my C63 AMG, changed the Oil, and replaced all filters. So, I don't think this shouldn't be more complicated, I'm just not sure if I should do it or let the dealer do it.

Have any of you fellas, done it before? is it easy, or complicated?
Please advise

Thank you in advance for your help
Alberto

Spark plugs have to be replaced every 60,000km as per manual.

My car has 22k miles but is already 4 years old. So the dealer said to change it. As the manual says 30k miles or 3 years. My dealer quote me 800 for only spark plugs. I recommend doing them at the dealer. And then do the oil change and filters yourself. My two cents.

Yes, you should replace the spark plugs every 30k miles and no you don't need to pay the dealer to do it. You can buy the plugs online, NGK #310235 silkar8c6ds, for under $20 each if you shop around (ebay, scuderiacarparts.com, etc) and do the basic work yourself in under 30 minutes. The air filters and pollen filter are drop in parts, pollen filter is part #670005021 which can be bought for around $20 as well. Their fuel cleaner is probably BK-44, again only $20. Pour one in the tank every year and be done. Oil changes are also very easy and quick if you have an extractor which only costs around $80.

If you're going to own the car outside of any prepaid maintenance, doing just these basic maintenance items will save you thousands over your ownership. Also consider buying BMC air filters. They're reusable, so you just clean then every year and put them back in. Keep your OE filters so when you clean the BMC filters you can let them dry overnight and still be able to drive your car with your OE air filters in temporarily.

Good luck!

Thank you for your response Krytech,
I've been looking for some parts at scuderiacarparts.com but the part numbers provided and the video shared by "Imbunky" will help me a lot.

I do have the Mityvac which I used to replace my C63 Oil.
Based on the feedback provided within this thread I think I will purchased all necesary items and do it myself. and documented in the manual.

Thank you all for the value information.

Alberto
