besides the check engine light I believe it is the electronic parking brake warning light

The one in the speedo gauge is the Check Engine light. The one in the center cluster is for the electronic parking brake. Unless the check engine light is flashing, I wouldn't be panicked, but you should probably call your dealer for service.

I had it once to re-adjust this.
If the light doesn't go off, you must go to the dealer

his advice is correct. the parking brake module occasionally loses its memory of open and closed positions, usually tied to a temporary drop in adequate battery voltage. relearning the positions is simply a matter of activating then deactivating the parking brake.
this only applies if it indicates the need for it in the instrument cluster in works, it'll tell you to do exactly that. "pull parking brake switch twice" or something to that effect.
if that isn't the case, you may need to have your parking brake module updated/replaced.
