The 2014 Maserati Ghibli is the latest graduate of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s extensive crash safety test program, and the stunning sedan not only passed with flying cars but it was also named one of the institute’s Top Safety Picks. It also scored a perfect five star-rating for Europe's NCAP crash safety tests.

Safety first as they say. I get scared when cars don't do well in crash testing. It doesn't seem like a big deal until you get in a car accident.

This just goes to show that Maserati really engineered the Ghibli to be a great vehicle. Great looks, great performance, and great safety.

The good news is the Ghibli got the highest possible safety rating. The bad news is, it is so painful to see that beautiful grigio (maratea?) machine get destroyed!
