I haven't seen where it's been stated if the new V6 have belt or the preferred chain driven cams, anyone know?

I don't see any mention of a timing belt change as part of the maintenance schedule and all photos of the engine shows fully enclosed cylinder heads without any secondary covers on the side that would reveal a belt for changing.

Ghibli has a timing chain.

The new V-6 motor, which shares its block with Chrysler’s Pentastar, also has 2 cu inch larger displacement than the original Chrysler 300C motor. These engine had no intention on ever making it back into any Chrysler automobiles. This particular motor is solely being used by Maserati and fettled by Ferrari.
