I have no codes related to the ABS whatsoever neither dashboard lights apart from the traction control light that come up while driving and sometimes i have the check engine light with it but the only code I’m getting is the attached one which related to Brake pedal position sensor which i already changed but it didn’t go away so after my investigation I figured out it needs calibration but i can do it because i cant access the ABS module. I have another code as well which was vacuum pressure sensor but i dont get it all the time. I have no clue if its related. View attachment 22865

You just need to run the calibration in AlfaOBD while the car is in RUN but with the engine off. Your ABS module is fine.

That is fine. You are successfully connected to your ABS module. That is just a warning saying that AlfaOBD cant verify your ECU matches the unit you selected before connecting. All is fine, as you are successfully connected. I get that message on a few modules on my Ram Truck that don't show up on the same modules in my Ghibli. Just press continue, and proceed with the calibration.

Also, as a side note, do not forget to clear codes in the ABS Module after running Static ECU Initialization, and then turn the ignition to the off position, wait 5 seconds, turn the ignition back to the RUN position with the ENGINE OFF, and then run Clearing Rolls Information, clear fault codes in the ABS module again, and also go into the BODY CONTROL MODULE and clear fault codes there too, then turn the ignition to the off position again, wait 5 seconds, turn the ignition back to the RUN position with the ENGINE OFF again, wait for the dash lights to turn off (about 5 seconds), and then finally START THE ENGINE and go for a drive.

Hmmm... Well unfortunately you may have to take a trip to Mother Maserati and have them do it. Very strange. As far as the warning on the dash, clear all fault codes in the ABS Module, and also the Body Control Module. Then cycle the key.

Thats the problem i cant clear any faults in the ABS and the moment i try to connect i get the ABS and traction control light on with service ABS SYSTEM on dashboard. L i can access the body computer normally as i have few faults but they’re irrelevant. One of them humidity sensor and one rear camera and the last one i think headlights and i cant clear them. Do you think it’s related and do you think the ABS Pump module is faulty and needs changing?

At this stage in the game, I'd take it to a Mas dealer and tell them you replaced the pedal position sensor and have them calibrate it and clear all the faults. I don't think your module is faulty. Remember, AlfaOBD isn't perfect and the developers cannot possibly account for all the different CAN Configurations and builds for all models and model years etc.

Hello again, so i managed to bypass the error connecting to ABS as i can read faults and kinda have access to the ANS module so i’m trying the brake pedal Calibration but i’m getting this error. See attached. Any idea what does it mean or how to resolve it? As well as i’m getting fault code C0078 please see attached have you ran through this before?

What also frustrates me is that I know the headlights should self level, as they have the front and rear right side leveling arms/sensors on the suspension. Everyone seems to think I’m crazy from the dealership lol
TheEngineer23: I know this thread is a few months old, but I was curious. Did you ever end up buying a OBDLink MX+ adapter that milehighmaserati mentioned? And if so, did that allow full function of the global windows up/down features? I’m very curious, as I have a 2018 SQ4 as well 😬 and will likely buy that obd tool and the Alfa software too!

Have any of you looked into the OBD line lock that is sold for Chrysler vehicles? Sounds like it should work on the Ghibli. I've got a 2018 S GranSport.

Thanks!

I have not, though I’ve seen areas within the program where it could technically be coded to probably work.
The issue is the fact that it requires so many other parameters to change outside of the Ghibli specific settings. Basically, you’d need to convince the car it’s a charger or challenger and I really don’t think the Ecu and trans would enjoy that…

plus, I have a feeling it could probably cause serious issues with use, since the car was never meant to be able to perform a line lock.

One thing I am very interested in though is activating the launch control features available in the 2021 and up Trofeo models. This would be awesome to be able to do, but I am not sure how long it will be until AlfaOBD updates the software to recognize and work with the current available features and modules. It’s already limited by many of the things Maserati have changed with the continual small improvements and additions over each model year. A perfect example of this is that even though 2018 saw the addition of adaptive LED headlights with a new module which handles the settings and adaptations, AlfaOBD doesn’t recognize them and cannot connect to them. I’ve asked them to look into it a few times since starting this thread but haven’t ever heard back as to if they were working on it and when, if ever, it would be added to the software with an update.

I have one more question for you on your alfaobd changes. I am trying to get my 2018 to keep on the DRL while the turn signal is on/activated. I have disabled the “DRL drop out” setting and selected “dedicated” for DRL location. Could you please list all the settings you updated to get your drls to stay on when turn signals are on??

also I just curious on how you got your DRLs to change to amber?? 😬

Thanks a bunch!

Hey, guys, a bit off-topic here, but I figured this is the best thread to ask. Long story short, I accidentally put my 2014 Ghibli with auto high beam assist in 'Auto High Beam Test Mode' with AlfaOBD. Unfortunately, neither the dealer, nor Alexey from AlfaOBD can put it back to normal (no such procedure with Maserati, it looks like this procedure is for Dodge/Chrysler vehicles only).

At the moment I don't have auto high beam and my mirrors are constantly dimmed at night, because of this. Together with the AlfaOBD developer we figured out a possible fix: He made a new procedure to read the settings from a properly functioning mirror/camera combo (this is the module that enables auto high beam), but I need a fellow forum member with a 2014 or 2015 Ghibli with Auto High Beam operating normally. Can someone help? I will be extremely grateful.

If anyone can do this settings read for me, please, send me a message.

Thanks.

Hi all,
It's been a while since I've been on this forum but I've just read this thread, it's really interesting!
Can someone please send me a link for the dongle to connect to PC that has been veried to work please?
I don't have an Android device yet, possibly in the future.
I've just been on their website and it's say that it only supports Ghiblis from 2017 onwards, is this true?

The big question is does it unlock video in motion (not sat nav in motion as I live in UK and this is already unlocked)?

Following on from Plamen Hristov, I have a 2014 with working high beam assist, how can I help?

Thanks in advance
