In my experience, and understanding from several forum threads, it is often associated with a battery slightly under a full charge. Or at any rate, the ECU not reading the threshold charge required to trigger or enable the stop/start. I have two vehicles with stop/start and neither work unless I've been on a long roadtrip or am freshly charged up.
Automatic stop/start keeps flickering on and off
My automatic start keeps flicking off and off any clue why this is happening? Someone said it might be hood latch ?
