I have a 2020 Ghibli S Q4 with the base audio.
I added some upgrades to it recently and I wanted to share here in case anyone else wanted todo the same.

Firstly, I swapped out the stock door speakers for JBL GX602 6.5"
JBL Speakers

Once that was completed, the search began for adding a sub to the system. I used this harness to connect to the head unit and that gave me the ability to tap into the speakers for a signal.

Once I had the audio signal tapped, I ran the cables to the trunk and that's when I connected and AIO Amp/Sub. The amp accepted speaker high level as an input so I did not need to use a LOC.

Some interesting info there, but can I ask, how did you get the head unit out?
Use a trim remover tool to remove the "Ghibli" plastic trim right under the head unit. Then there are 2 screws to remove that are behind the trim. Once you remove those 2 screws, use the trim removal tool to pry around the head unit and pull it out. It is snug in there so you will have to use the trim tool and work it loose a bit.

One thing I have noticed. I have a 2015 Ghibli and I've always been surprised that people say how bad the base audio setup is. Mines actually pretty good, not fantastic but better than I expected.

Whilst mine was being repaired for a week I had a 2023 Hybrid on loan, I'm not sure what or when it changed but the audio setup in it was absolutely terrible. It was worse than cars I owned 20 years ago.

Either that or the previous owner changed it (I'm the second owner)
