Cruise control....

Before I totally lose my mind over the issues with my car, will someone please tell me that their cruise control doesn't work properly.

On/Off................. No issue
Decelerate.......... No issue
Pressing the button up to accelerate or resume........... Cruise control shuts off completely

Any ideas or is anyone else having this issue?

If you push the up and down button in accidentally when you are trying to simply push it up or down, the system shuts off. It's designed to shut off when pressed in. I too had had a little frustration when attempting to increase speed and pressing to hard and it deactivates the system....it's a touch thing....

I have sometimes simillar issues.
I think there is a SW glitch.
When we press up or down AND it also hits in, it probably shuts off completely.
In my view, the buttons on the steering wheel are very bad designed. It is easy to understand, but very hard to use. A 3-way button is very, very special
No problems with the resume / increase speed button but the action of the cruise control is not as smooth other cars I have has and a little "sticky".
I completely agree with Steve here the same thing happened with me as well.. kinda frustrating but will get use to it..

If so (I have yet to try it again), this is a complete waste of a "function". The on/off button is right next to it. What a PITA.
Does anyone know if the cruise control is supposed to be adaptive? I read somewhere that it was, but when I tried it didn't seem to work. I didn't want to let my car plough into the back of the car in front so hit the brakes and didn't bother trying to test again.

Nope. I have tried several more times and get the same result. I will add this to the LONG list of issues to be addressed/readdressed, when it goes back in on the 7th.

Not adaptive in the sense we thought ie it doesn't sense car ahead and slow down then speed up etc.
Hardwire cruise control?

Does anyone know if it is feasible to hard-wire the cruise control so that it is on all the time? It is a pain to have to turn it on each time that I start the car.
