Just wondering if anyone here used a Laser Jammer / Radar. If yes, what brand and how do you like it? Please share. I heard K40 system is really good but not 100% sure at this point.

I got the K40 and love it expensive but I like the stealth nature of the system and the 360 degree protection. They also guarantee they will pay for a ticket if you get one during the first year of ownership.

Ok now the more important part. How much did it cost and what config did you got??

where do you live? I am in NJ and not much lazer around here. the tests I read were decent for k40 and i think u r right about blinder. the tests are online. police are also smart about diffusers i have an option to shut off diffusers after 10 seconds to allow slow down and avoid detection (supposedly) good luck

How good is the K40 system in your opinion? Do you think it's worth the money? I am seriously thinking about getting it soon. I have two estimates 2.5K to 2.8K with two front diffusers and one rear diffuser. I also heard that it alerts you way before you get close to the cop cars? Do you agree?
Thanks for sharing your experience.

Reviews of K40 jammer are not kind - as far as I can see; others prefer HP 905

Laser Jammer Test

So I am not convinced that K40 is the smart choice

The radar/laser arms race is impressive. But is it really cost-effective to spend 2-3K avoiding a ticket that might cost 2-$300? Certainly insurance premium considerations also come into play, but you'd have to be avoiding several tickets a year to make it worth it. In the past, I've paid $400 on detectors here in VA where they're illegal but I'm not sure it's worth up to 3K to participate in some of these defenses. It's like the military using a $10M cruise missile to take out a target that cost $1M.

I had been struggling with which after market components to install but have concluded also that for me a Radar Detector will keep me honest but Laser Jammer is unwarranted. :(

I had a K40 in the past. Seems like every time an Infiniti SUV would get close it would set off my laser signal.

I'm leasing so I don't want to spend 3k to get it installed then more money when I uninstall it and then hit by Maserati for a damaged panel. So looking at the Escort Max get it direct wired have it mounted to my mirror and get a BlackVue camera installed.

I just got the Escort Max and really like it. I'm leasing as well, so I had them mount it on the top left of the mirror and they direct wired it to the ignition power. It took them an hour to install. $100 for installation and the cost of the wire.

Have you tested it yet to see if it really works well. I am also curious about the range?

My exact setup is a Passport Max and Blackvue camera..... Both hard wired and I have to extra power pack for the Blackvue which leaves the power to the camera when the car is off so that I can use it as a parking camera. Works great.

Are you satisfied with the performance of the passport Max? Does it really helps you avoid tickets?

If you get the Redline, it would be much better then the Max. Redline, basically blows everyone out of the competition. I researched on the Max and Redline and V1, the V1 and Redline are almost same.

People complain about a lot of false alarming, but if you combined it with the Smart Live cord and connect it via your phone put up the software it will eliminate it by almost 70%. Same with V1.

The thing Redline and V1 is their off axis. The long distance which is recorded for about 13 to 18 miles on a straight line road. but then again because of the off axis functionality and also the expert setting mode on the Redline and V1, it beats any other Radar detector out there.

My theory is I dont speed on inside road, only on Highways, and there's where i need the Radar detector to notify me well ahead of time. So if you want all out performance go with Redline or V1 with smart cord.

The MAX is for noobs (Sorry, not to offend you Steve). If you want a good radar go for MAX.

I have been using detectors and jammers for 8 plus years and the best combination I have found is V1 and the laser interceptor and using common sense. If you stay aware and use these devices properly you will likely never get a ticket again even when speeding. It took me awhile to get there but once I properly installed and used this combination. You will always have to slow down and if you count on Jam to Gun to save you, good luck with that. I have these as hardwired into the car and the valentine and jammer were placed based on real testing with an official laser gun. I use bluetooth and my cell phone as alerting for both devices.
