2014 Ghibli petrol. Engine light on, went to dealer. Codes showed lean on both banks. Replaced injectors. Light reappeared after driving about 20 miles. More repairs, then headed back home. Light came on after 100 miles. Limped home 500 miles. Took it to local shop- Jim’s Fine Cars. Problem: I installed fancy oil-doused air filters, and they coated the air flow sensors, resulting in engine codes! My advice: don’t use fancy filters!

It’s well known about those oil based filters. Don’t use them unless you know how to properly oil them.

Agree with Milano. K&N's and other oiled filters, if not properly drained and dried, can coat the mass air-flow (MAF) sensor and cause problems. That said, I installed them on my Goldwing and both Crossfires many years ago, and just ensure they are drained (even blow air through them to dislodge excess oil) when cleaning and re-oiling. BTW, I did not bother with K&N's on my Audi for this reason.
