I have about 350 miles on my Ghibli and I wanted to know how long I should wait until I can drive the car hard, dealer said to wait for a couple hundred miles.
Any suggestions?

That's funny, my dealer told me there was no "break-in period".

However, in the manual, it states "Avoid exceeding 5000 rpm for the first 1000 trip km (620 mi). After starting the vehicle, do not exceed 4000 rpm until the engine has warmed up sufficiently (coolant temperature: 65-70 celsius/149-158 F).

I was told 500 miles before stomping the loud pedal -- about the same. I routinely wait until the engine oil temp (rather than the water temp, which comes up faster) is up to normal before venturing into the higher rev ranges, as I have always done with my high performance cars.
