Has the software update helped since last update? I tried to follow as my 16 bluetooth is working intermittently. I tried to use post #1 and downloaded two files. My understanding is that we are focus on using the file CPTMY14.KWI. I placed this one file in a SD car formatted MS-DOS ( FAT32 ) under MacOS, inserted it to the SD slot on the center console, it says something about not finding recognized software. I've tried ExFAT and FAT16, they did not help. I am not finding a more detailed upgrade doc on that uconnect site so appreciate any feedbacks. Thanks!

ps. I also tried to include the garmin/gupdate.gcd folder and file on the SD and MTC didn't seem to recognize that either.

I have tried updating the MTC firmware using an 8GB USB 2.0 flash drive. I formatted the flash drive under MacOS in MS-DOS (FAT32) format. The only file on my flash drive is CTPMY14.KWI. When I insert the USB flash drive in my car, the screen says "no supported files". The SD Card and CD drive are empty, there is nothing connected. I also tried the same process but formatting in a Windows machine, with the same results. I tried another USB flash drive, a 3.0 drive with 128GB, and that also did not work.

Are there any other restrictions for this update? My SW version number is currently 13/17/67 and I would like to upgrade to 16/21/D7. Thank you!

I have the exact same issue and the same version of 13/17/67. Did you ever find a solution to this by any chance?

I’ve made several attempts at this too. No luck for me. They must have changed something because it does not work anymore

Alphawip! This is amazing! I have a question that you may or may not be able to answer.. I have a 2016, and an iPhone 14, and cannot connect the texting/SMS messaging. It states unavailable, do you think this hack might help with that. I just got the iPhone, my previous was a Samsung 20S and no issues with connecting or messaging, but it's a no go since the iPhone.. which sucks!
