So guys,

I wanted to just bring up the price comparison b/w a 2014 and 2015 SQ4. This is based upon the ordering guide of 2014 and 2015 with packages.

2015 SQ4

Car Ghibli Sq4 --- 76900
Paint --- Mica 890$
Seats --- Sabbia 0
Upper Dashboard --- Nero 0
Trim --- Radica 0
Wheels --- 19" Elegant Poseidone All weather
Brake Calipers --- Matt Black
Premium Package --- 2600
Sports Package --- 3900
Cold weather package --- 800

Total price --- 85090

2014 SQ4

Car Ghibli Sq4 --- 76900
Paint --- Mica 890
Seats --- Sabbia 0
Upper Dashboard --- Nero 0
Trim --- Radica 0
Wheels --- 19" Elegant Poseidone 0
Brake Calipers --- Red
Premium Package --- 1780
Sports Package --- 4840
Cold weather package --- 2270
Premium sound system --- 1440

Total Price --- 88120

If you notice the MSRP for the 2015 is less then the MSRP of the 2014 with same package option (keeping in mind a lot of things have changed in 2015 model)

By change I mean the there are now more things in the packages for 2015

For example Premium Package for 2015 has
Remote Start
Front and Rear Parking Sensors
Power rear sun blind
Power foot Pedals
Headlight Control
Rain Sensor
Easy Entry
Premium Sound System
Rear Armrest w /illuminated compartment

As compared to 2014 Premium package which has
Remote Start
Front and Rear Parking Sensors
Heated front seats
Power Foot Pedals.
Headlight Control
Rain Sensor
Easy Entry

Its kinda amazing the price of the 2015 is a tad lower then 2014. Maybe the base price for 2015 might be increased a little bit more but for now this is what i am seeing.

Any comments??

Correct me if i am wrong some where.:)

Secondly if you look at the packages the price have not gone crazy up... for example

The premium package is up by 900 bucks but now has more options. Where as the price of the sports package has gone down 900 bucks and has the same options. Also if you compare the premium package it includes the Premium sound system in 2015 which alone was 1440 bucks in 2014.

There was also an MSRP increase of $1500 on the 2014 S Q4 in January ... used to be $75,400 versus current $76,900.

So you think the MSRP for the 2015 would again be an increase around that same mark??

There are lots of factors being used to establish the base MSRP which could change at anytime ... especially since the 2015 isn't in production yet. I'm sure 2014 model year was a learning year where they should have improved production efficiency for the 2015 model year offset by higher input prices.

Since they took a production price increase in 2014, I don't see them going much higher in base to stay competitive in their price range. I'm sure they have a pretty good idea where it will be for budgetary / planning purposes. In my view, I'd expect an overall 2 +/-% increase depending on how you build your add-ons.

It could be lower for some ... I added a package to get one feature. If that feature is now a standard or bundled in another package I could see a little break.
