Fitted a set of Trofeo Version Dark Smoked tail lights to my 2019 Ghibli. There was a problem due to the factory bolts for fixing the lights, they are too short. Has everyone encountered this problem when replacing the tail lights with restyling lights?

Don’t really see the problem here. You’re putting something in that wasn’t factory spec, I would just naturally assume some fitting may be required.

If all you have to do is go to Lowe’s and get a couple longer bolts, I’d say you’re lucky and this is a non issue. So, so, so many other things could have caused a problem in the swap, that I think this is really good luck.

Did you try to connect them to the harness as yet ? I'm betting short screws aren't going to be your only problem as I have read the connector/wiring configuration is changed for the new generation 'boomerang' style rears. Hope the article was wrong for your sake (and others who try)...would be interested to know the outcome.

I bought the complete kit from masparts.nl. This kit includes the Tail lights, Converter Cable and tail light covers. Everything works perfectly. I advise everyone to put it in as the car has been transformed in a better way.

I go back and forth on which taillights I like better....sometimes I like the newer lights, sometimes the older. I should buy both sets and swap'em as my mood changes!
