Did you figure this out..my 2016 does the same..

Somehow it may have self-corrected. When on station present #1, I would hold #1 and reset it. Not sure if this helped but it might. Everything started working as normal after about 2-3 weeks.
I have same issue. Bringing in for service. Hope it's nothing major.
My car just had a £6k service and now has this issue. My radio and iphone skip, which is so annoying. I haven’t found a solution. Not sure if there is a factory reset option?

I have the same issue. My car stereo randomly switches from one station to the other. both when using FM radio or spotify. do you have any recommendation?

thanks, regards,

Carlo
Does it skip CDs / MP3s as well?

So again, this feels like behaviour that could be caused by the buttons on the back of the steering wheel being faulty. I could be totally wrong but I think the best idea would be to scan the car.

My 2016 Ghibli is doing the same thing. Skips radio stations and song on Pandora and Spotify. It started out about randomly about a month or 2 after I bought it 2nd hand last year. But it's gotten worse since. Sometimes it will work just fine for a day or two, up to about a week if I'm lucky. 80% it' skipping songs, etc. I did a scan with 2 different OBDII scanners and saw no errors or saved codes relating to the radio (MTC). I did take it to the dealer and they tried to do a factory reset and weren't able too for some reason. Might have to try the other dealer near by.
They wanted to replace the head unit as a first step in trouble shooting ($6000) and refused to do a software update.
If I drop $6K on this car would be to trade it in on something else. lol.

Looking around. Seems like replacing the MTC is the solution. New they are around $1500. But seen some on ebay for $200 +/-. Do you have to do anything when you replace the MTC software wise or is it just plug in play? Haven't seen anything about this.

Thank you!

Hi MC,

If you know how to fix this can you please just post it here? Seems like this problem happens a lot and I have yet to see a fix to this in a forum.

Has anyone talked to this guy/gal?

Thanks!

There's been some hints on the other US forum that MC actually can talk to dealers for customers and get stuff moving. But the 'engagement' consists of that post repeated ad infinitum, and you're gonna have to go to a main dealer <shrug>

The MaseratiCares customer team that has monitored this forum (and others) can only provide guidance and connections to local dealers or escalated NA support. They are not technical experts, just trying to make sure current or future Maserati owners are satisfied. As CatmanV2 indicates ultimately you will need to work with a service department.
We used to have Maserati mechanics on this forum who would chime in with support but it just didn't work out for various reasons. It was great while it lasted as they were "unofficially" helping us out.
