This may or may not relate to an earlier post, but anyone know what the purpose is of the little red plastic button at the underside of the steering column?
At center of image below (looking up).

Nope. I thought it might be obvious once the column cover and clockspring were removed, but it beats me. Tried moving it around and it didn't seem to do anything either. Curious, as it seems to be designed to be accessed without or before disassembling anything. Image below shows where it reaches underneath the clockspring assembly.

Oh well.....

I would be careful pushing it if someone is in the passenger seat, just in case.

For a moment, I thought that might explain where my wife went some time back........... she'll turn up again I'm sure.

I never saw that red botton in my ghibli... i will check

Most of the ghibli owners have the foot pedals electrically adjustable and they dont know because the stupid switch is hide on the lower part of the front seat .
My previous and new ghibli has that
