Hi folks.

I'm (hopefully) replacing the rear leather vent trim as my Xmas project. What's the easiest way? Do I have to take the gear lever/top trim off etc? Or can I loosen the side bolts in the photo and raise it up to unscrew the rear leather trim? Any advice appreciated....

I've done it now. I did remove the gear stick and facia of the centre console. However in hindsight, you can probably get away with:

1. Remove the rear vent with plastic tools (the panel below the vent pops out, which may help first)
2. Remove the 2 bolts behind the vent you've just removed.
3. Remove the 2 bolts to the side of the centre console at the rear (covered by 2 caps)
4. Remove the 2 bolts to the side of the centre console at the front (covered by plastic panels)
5. Tilt the whole centre console up at the rear, so you can unscrew the black screws at the bottom of the rear vent leather trim from underneath the console.
6. Remove the 2 black screws from behind vent.
Done!

I ended up replacing the rear vent, rear leather trim and 'sports/manual/ice' button panel in a few hours.
