Hi guys,
I am the owner of 2017 Maserati Ghibli 202 kW diesel model. I have noticed a very strange thing in the boot. There is some kind of rubber hose with a loose end coming out from the inside of the car body. I can't figure out the role of this hose. Please have a look at these photos and help me to understand the purpose of it. Thanks!

Hi

normally it is a Vent pipe for batteries especially when they are installed in a truck

here is mine, batterie still the original one ( the pipe goes all the way down)

Even more annoying to me is the rust which can be seen below that hose...
rusty gaps in a 3 year old premium-car??
