I am curious to see what others opinions are to having a Ferrari sourced V8 over the turbocharged V6? I would assume mileage on the V6 would be better but the sound and power from the V8 could have its

The sound of the V6 with valve open is pretty cool in fact maybe better than the V8 4.2 of the Granturismo ...

I think there is enough power for me on the S (Q4) model so i will not wait for the Quattroporte V8.
V6's, Inline 6's and Flat 6's almost always have more of a louder and more aggressive sounding pitch to them. Meanwhile V8's aren't as loud and attention grabbing unless it's finely tuned Ferrari V8!

turbocharged motors in general do not sound as exotic as the non turbocharged variants. The turbos muffle the sound and add some rumble. Plus most turbocharged motors do not wind up as high.

I think that would raise the price point closer to the Quattroporte (flagship) which would not make sense.
I have heard rumors of an M5 killer though;) Maybe a V8?
